Yum...Roast Beef

Hi Everyone

So last week i had two of my best buddies over from California, Todd Tichonchuk and Kevin Brewster.

I naturally showed them some of the sights... and drank some beer...but I just had to cook them a traditional English roast Beef dinner.

Todd being his usual videographer self, wanted to record it for all to see so here it is in all it's glory.

Ingredients were:
Scottish Roast Beef joint just under 1kg
King Edward potatoes (perfect for roasties)
Goose fat (to roast the potatoes in)
Carrots
Leeks
Green Beans
Red wine, cornflower and beef stock cube (for the gravey)

The beef was cooked for 50 minutes on 190c and then allowed to stand for 15-20 minutes
The roast potatoes were parboild for 7 minutes and then tossed in the pan.  Then put into a oven tray with preheated goose fat for 1hr
Leeks, Carrot and Beans were steamed for just 9-10 minutes

Unfortunately, I haven't ventured into the world of making Yorkshire puddings just yet...but i'm sure that will happen soon.

I'm sure the food network are running scared that i'm going to steal viewers lol

Enjoy!
